Your Email Signature

The very least amount of marketing you should do is include complete contact information on every Email message you send out.  Complete information includes:

Your Name
Your Phone
Your Fax
Your Web Address
Your Email

 

THE REASON WHY

The obvious reason for including a complete Signature on every Email is obvious.  You want to make it EASY for people to contact you.  When you send an Email message to a prospect it is easy for that prospect to hit their REPLY button and respond to your Email.  But what if they want to phone you or visit your Website?  If they don’t know your Web address or your phone number they will not be able to contact you.  Even if you think the prospect does know your number or URL they may not have time to look it up, may not remember that they have it, or they may simply not bother to contact you.

 

HOW TO CREATE A SIGNATURE FILE

If you use Outlook Express you set up your signature file by clicking on the TOOLS menu and then select OPTIONS.  To create a signature select NEW and then enter text in the EDIT signature box. Or, you can click FILE and then find the text or the HTML file you would like to use. Finally, select the ADD signature to all outgoing messages box. 

Always Give a Reason

All advertising works best when you give your audience a specific reason why they should call you or visit your Website.  See for yourself which mini ad has more impact.

SAMPLE 1, 2 OR 3?

Actually Samples 2 and 3 are strong ads while Sample 1 gives no good reason for calling.   While these samples are purposely short, the same rules apply to longer ads and messages.
